CONGRATULATIONS to Liz Evans for receiving the 2025 Impact on Education Blake Peterson Lifetime Achievement Award!
We are very very lucky to have had such a high quality and dedicated teacher as we do with Liz Evans. She is one of a kind and has established a great legacy here in the Nederland community. If you do not know, Liz is retiring from her teaching position after 40 years of service. She has left a lasting legacy on Nederland Middle Senior High School.
The 2025 Impact Awards is an annual community celebration that honors an educator from every school in the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD) for making an extraordinary impact on student learning. At the event we’ll also celebrate the winners of the 2025 Blake Peterson Lifetime Achievement Award and the 2025 Imogene Maxon Early Teacher award. Purchase tickets here.

Established in 2017, the Blake Peterson Lifetime Achievement Award honors the legacy of one of Impact on Education’s most fervent supporters, Blake Peterson. This award recognizes and celebrates an individual who consistently catalyzes positive change within Boulder Valley School District over the course of decades and whose passion for education and learning mirrors that of the award’s namesake.
