Career & Technical Education
Nederland Middle-Senior High School provides 3 comprehensive Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways. Our pathways include Engineering/Construction, Outdoor Leadership, and Resource Conservation/Environmental Science. The purpose of these pathways is to offer hands-on opportunities for students to experience real careers before leaving high school. CTE courses allow our students to access careers and internships in their community. Students who complete our pathways can expect to earn industry certificates, possess job specific skills, and participate in internships that lead to careers. Some students may choose to immediately enter the workforce, while others may choose to pursue post-secondary higher education in their chosen field. Every CTE participant should plan to experience rigorous career oriented courses, and expect to leave high school with a purpose!
